Welcome to Fossen

Fossen Camping in Geiranger is idyllically located with spectacular views over the famous Geirangerfjord. The Geirangerfjord is on UNESCO's World Heritage List and is one of the most famous fjords in Norway.

Fossen Camping is located right next to Fv. 63 about 3 km from Geiranger center with great views of mountains and fjords. Short walking distance to the famous viewpoint Flydalsjuvet (about 1 km), as well as many great hiking opportunities in the area, such as Vesteråsfjellet, Løsta, and Storsæterfossen.

Our cabins have a good standard with private bathrooms, well-equipped kitchens, and a terrace with seating area and grill. All units have TV and access to WiFi.

Selfservice

The day of your arrival you will receive your digital key giving you access to your cabin/house. There is no staff avaliable on site.

IMPORTANT! When you book your stay, make sure to register the phone number and email that you will have access to during your stay with us, as the digital key to unlock your cabin will be sent to this number/email.

Check in/ check out

Check in is after 15.00. Check out before 11.00. Clean your cabin/house, take out the garbage and remove the bed linen before you leave.

Cabin 1 bedroom

This cabin has 1 bedroom with space for up to 3 people. The bedroom has a family bunk bed (double bed + single bed). Bed linen and towels are included in the stay. Bathroom with shower and toilet. Kitchenette with stove, microwave, and fridge with freezer. Sitting area, flat-screen TV, and dining table. Terrace with seating area and grill.

Cabin 2 bedrooms

This cabin has 2 bedrooms with space for up to 5 people. Bedroom 1 has a double bed. Bedroom 2 has a bunk bed + an extra bed. Bed linen and towels are included in the stay. Bathroom with shower and toilet. Kitchenette with stove, microwave, and fridge with freezer. Sitting area, flat-screen TV, and dining table. Terrace with seating area and grill.

The closest airport is Ålesund Airport. And it is aprox. a 2,5 hours drive from the airport to Geiranger. If you are driving a car from one of the bigger cities in Norway here are some suggestions on routes: 

The road from Grotli to Geiranger is normally open from mid May/Early June until October. Please check updated information about the road here.

OsloFollow route E6 to Otta, then continue on route 15 towards Stryn. Before you get to Stryn you should take route 63 from Langvatn to Geiranger.

Oslo

Option 1:Follow E6 to Dombås, then take E136 to Åndalsnes continue to Sjøholt. From Sjøholt you will follow route 650 to Linge and take the ferry over to Eidsdal. From Eidsdal you will follow route 63 over the mountain to Geiranger. This road is open all year. Estimated time from Oslo to Geiranger: 10 hours. (ref. Google Maps)

Option 2: Follow E6 to Otta and the follow route 15 to Stryn. From Stryn you will follow E39 and route 60 towards Hellesylt. The ferry from Hellesylt to Geiranger is operating all year. For time table and prices check thefjords.no. (ref. Google Maps)

Trondheim

Yes, there is a grocery store located in the center of the village by the fjord. During summer months it´s open every day, but from October – mid May it’s closed on Sundays. The opening hours vary throughout the year.

Yes, towels and bed linen are included in the stay for your convenience.

No, pets are not allowed inside the cabins/ houses.

No. The guest must clean the cabin, take out the trash, and remove the bed linens before departure. Failure to do so will result in a fee of NOK 500.
